NCET 2026 answer key out for 4-year ITEP admissions; raise objections by April 30

NCET Result 2026: Students can now raise objections against the provisional answer key by paying a fee of Rs 200 per objection
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET 2026) today, April 28. Students who appeared for the exam can now download the NCET answer key, question paper, and response sheet on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NCET/.
To download the NCET 2026 answer key PDF, candidates will have to enter their valid application number, password, and captcha.
Students who are not satisfied with the NCET provisional answer key can raise objections by paying a fee of Rs 200 for each question challenged. As per the schedule, the last date to challenge the provisional NCET answer key is April 30 at 11:50 pm.

“No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The Challenges will not be accepted through any other medium,” the NCET notice read.
The NCET 2026 exam was held on April 17 and 18, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode, in two shifts from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm, for 92,776 registered students.
NCET Answer Key 2026: How to download?
Follow the instructions below to download the KCET 2026 provisional answer key, question paper, and response sheet.
- Go to the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NCET/.
- Click on the ”Answer Key Challenge for NCET – 2026”.
- Enter your valid application number, password, and security captcha.
- The NCET 2026 answer key PDF will appear on the screen.
- Download the provisional answer key and take a printout for future use.
According to the NCET 2026 marking scheme, the question paper has 160 compulsory multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with a total of 640 marks.
For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded, and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no deduction for unanswered questions.
NCET is a national-level entrance exam conducted for the National Council for Teacher Education. Through this exam, candidates can get admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected central and state universities, as well as institutes like IITs, NITs, RIEs, and other government colleges.
