NEW DELHI, JANUARY 9 : Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification of NDA (1) 2019 on January 9. The Commission has activated the link to fill the online NDA 1 application form along with the notification. Candidates can submit the application form till February 4. The application form can be filled in two parts - Part 1 and 2.
The notification contains important information to facilitate the conduct of the examination process conveniently. It also contains details such as dates of events related to the exam, eligibility criteria, steps to fill the application form, number of vacancies, exam centres, fee, exam pattern syllabus, selection process, etc.
While filling the application form, in Part 1, candidates should fill personal, academic and contact details and preference of branch, while candidates have to pay application fees, select exam centre, upload photograph and signature and agree to the declaration in the second part of the application form.
After registering for the exam, candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as application fee. The fee can be paid either offline or online. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and sons of JCOs, NCOs, ORs are exempted from fee payment.
NDA is conducted in two stages – written exam and Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview. On the basis of marks secured in the written exam, candidates are called for SSB Interview. UPSC prepares final merit list based on the total marks secured in written exam and SSC Interview.
NDA is conducted twice annually in the month of April and September. Candidates between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age, who have completed 10+2 are eligible to appear for the examination. NDA exam is held to shortlist candidates for Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme). Over 3 lakh candidates appear for the exam in every session of the exam.
