NEW DELHI; May 20: National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2019 exam for Odisha, Karnataka and Siliguri aspirants today on May 20, from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The UG admit card for such candidates was released on May 15, 2019. Earlier, NEET exam, which is essential for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and veterinary courses was postponed in Odisha state due to the effect of Cyclone ‘Fani’.

A total of 365 Karnataka medical candidates who were unable to report at their allotted NEET centres also requested NTA to re-conduct the MBBS/BDS exam. Also, the Siliguri NEET test takers from roll number 460903805 to 460903960 failed to take the exam due to shortage of supply in Hindi question paper. In this regard, the Senior Director of NTA, released a notice mentioning that the NEET 2019 exam for Odisha, Karnataka and Siliguri has been scheduled to be held on May 20, with a change in exam timings.

The national-level entrance exam which is also a gateway for candidates to study MBBS and BDS abroad has been conducted on May 5, 2019, across India, except three states.

Since, the exam is to be conducted in offline mode today, below are some important exam day guidelines which they must follow.

Dress code:

It is advised to follow the NEET dress code as specified by NTA carefully. No shoes, full sleeves shirts and t-shirts are allowed. Only light clothes like trousers, t-shirts & shirts, sandals/slippers will be allowed. Female aspirants are not allowed to wear any king of ornaments.

Prohibited items:

Candidates should not carry the restricted stationery, jewellery, eatables (whether packed or opened), wallets, watches, and other items which can be used as unfair means is not allowed. Only the printout of admit card, two passport size photographs and valid ID proof is only permitted. It must be noted that no arrangements are made by the centre to keep the belongings of candidates.

Note: Diabetic students are allowed to carry a fruit like Banana or Apple or Sugar tablets and a transparent water bottle in the exam centre.

After the completion of MBBS/BDS exam, candidates can calculate their expected marks using the unofficial answer key, which has been released by coaching institutes. However, NTA will release the official NEET answer key 2019 in the last week of May, along with the OMR sheet.

The result of NEET 2019 exam will be announced by June 5, in the form of score card, mentioning the cutoff scores and All India Rank of individual candidate.
