NEET 2019: NTA releases OMR sheets; extends the date to challenge the answer key

Try NowNEW DELHI, June 1: National Testing Agency has released the OMR response sheet of each individual candidate who appeared for NEET this year. It has been made available in the form of scanned images which allows the candidate to the answers marked at the time of examination. The OMR sheet also gives the benefit to tally the responses along with the official answer key which has already been uploaded on May 29. The OMR sheet was expected to be uploaded along with the official answer key. Making up for the delay, the authority has also extended the key challenge facility from May 31 to June 2, 2019.
Challenge the answer key
NTA has provided a provision to challenge the answer key to each candidate. In order to do so, a candidate is required to cross check the answers provided on the official answer key and the responses marked on the OMR sheets. A processing fee of Rs 1000/- has to be paid in order to challenge a question which can be paid through online payment methods. If a challenged answer recorded by a candidate is found to be correct, the processing fee will be refunded. For the convenience of candidates, the stepwise procedure to download the OMR sheet has been provided below.

Enter the login details such as application number and password and click on ‘login’

Then, click on ‘OMR challenge’ provided on the left-hand side of the screen

Click on the button ‘Click here to view your OMR answer sheet’ to check the image of OMR sheet.

Candidates can click on ‘Click here for OMR challenge’ in order to challenge responses.
NEET Result 2019
This year NEET was conducted on May 5 and re-conducted May 20, 2019, in 154 exam cities of the country. 15,19,375 candidates had registered out of which 14,10,754 candidates appeared. NEET is the gateway for admission for over 93 thousand seats offered in Medical and Dental colleges in India. NEET result is scheduled to be released by June 5. It will be made available for all the candidates who appeared for the exam in the form of scorecards. Candidates will be able to download the scorecard only till 60 days from the date of declaration of result.
