: Candidates who have appeared in the NEET 2019 exam can soon get their hands on the official NEET 2019 answer key and OMR response sheet, as NTA is expected to release them anytime now. The keys will be released for all the paper codes for which the exam was conducted and will contain answers to questions asked in the entrance exam. Meanwhile, the response sheet will contain recorded responses of the candidate. So, using the official answer key and response sheet, one can calculate expected score before actual
results of NEET 2019
are declared on or before June 5.

The leading coaching institutes of the country like Resonance, Allen Kota, Aakash, and Sri Chaitanya have already released unofficial versions of the answer keys, though only for a few of the paper codes.
One basic difference between the official version of answer key released by NTA and those released by coaching institutes is the former is the final authority on the correctness of a key. Candidates however, if they think a particular code in not correct in the official version, can register a complaint against a key (s) The final official answer key of NEET 2019 will be released after considering all such complaints, post which no request will be entertained.
NEET 2019 was conducted on May 5, expect in Odisha where the exam was conducted on May 20. The exam had to be postponed in Odisha because it was hit by Cyclone Fani. The result of NEET 2019 will be declared in the form of score cards, and will contain information like roll number, category-wise qualifying percentile and score, subject-wise and total marks, and NEET AIR and category rank.
Procedure for checking official NEET 2019 answer key

Go to the official website of NTA - ntaneet.nic.in

Under “Current Events” section, click on the “Answer Key” link

This will redirect the candidate to a login page

Enter NEET registration number and password

Upon successful login, code-wise answer keys will be displayed on screen

Click on the answer key for relevant code
-
The selected answer key will open

Download the answer key
Formula to calculate expected score :
By comparing the recorded responses in the OMR sheet and the answers given in the official key, the candidate can calculate the expected score using the following formula:
NEET scores
= (Number of correct answers X 4) - (Number of incorrect responses X 1)
