: The National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body of NEET 2019, would likely release the official answer keys after May 31. The answer keys will be released for all paper codes for which the exam was conducted and contain the correct answers to the questions. Using the answer key corresponding to the paper code in which one attempted the exam, one can compare one’s answers and consequently calculate correct attempts and probable score.

It may also be noted that the correction facility of Online NEET 2019 application form 2019 has been re-opened from May 27-31. Using application correction facility, the candidate will be able to undertake necessary corrections, if required.

Extension a one-time facility
Candidate need to note that the extension of application correction is an one-time facility, after which no further chance will be given to the candidate.
What after conclusion of correction facility?
It is very much possible that official answer keys will be released once the correction facility ends on May 31. Earlier indications were there that answer keys will be available in last week of May.
Events leading up to now......
Coaching institutes delivered the goods on May 5
Leading coaching institutes, including Aakash, Allen Kota, Career Point and Resonance, released the unofficial answer keys within a few hours of completion of NEET 2019 exam on May 5.
But one handicap was the keys were available for only a handful of codes for which the exam was conducted. Consequently, candidates whose paper codes didn’t match felt left out, or they had to wait for answer key-cum-solution sets released by these institutes. Thankfully, solution sets came with questions as well as the answers, which helped the cause of these candidates.
Using the unofficial answer keys, the candidates were able to calculate expected scores, and also make an assessment of one’s chances of admission.
And again on May 20
This year, NEET exam was re-conducted on May 20 for candidates belonging to the state of Odisha, which was ravaged by Cyclone Fani. Some of the coaching institutes also released answer keys for May 20 exam.
After the coaching institutes, it is now NTA’s turn to release answer keys
The result of NEET 2019 will be declared on or before June 5, and the official answer key will be available before that. Also, unlike the coaching institutes, NTA will release NEET 2019 official answer keys for all the paper codes for which the exam was conducted.
Further, along with the answer key, NTA will also make available recorded OMR response sheet of the candidate.
Key points about NEET 2019 official answer key

The official answer keys will be released by NTA for all the paper codes

Answer key corresponding to a paper code will contain correct answers to questions included in that code

Please note that the correctness of an answer is decided the NTA, so official keys are deemed to be correct answers to questions asked.

The candidate by comparing their answers, as displayed on the recorded OMR sheet, with the answer key can calculate first the number of correct attempts, and then expected score.

For calculating expected score, one may refer the official marking scheme.

Also, considering the keys have the official sanction of the NTA, the actual result would more or less would be the same as determined after using official key and response sheet.

Any candidate who has reservations regarding an answer key will be allowed to challenge the answer key, on payment of a fee

Final answer key will be released after considering all such complaints. No further challenge to answer key will be allowed after release of final key.

Declaration of NEET 2019 result and counselling
The result of NEET 2019 would be declared in the form of score cards containing details like name and roll number of the candidate, application number, subject-wise and total marks (out of 720), NEET AIR and category rank, and category-wise qualifying percentile and score.
Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam will be eligible to participate in either central counselling conducted by MCC or state counselling conducted by respective states or both. Please note that both MCC and state authorities will release separate merit lists based on applications received.
