NEW DELHI, June 5: The much awaited NEET result has been released on June 5, 2019. With that, the National Testing Agency has also revealed the statistics of the mammoth entrance exam which was conducted on May 5, 2019, and reconducted on May 20, 2019. The NEET statistics reveal that as many as 797042 candidates have qualified the entrance exam. 15,19,375 had registered to appear for the biggest undergraduate medical entrance exam out of which 14,10,754 candidates appeared. The registrations this year indicates an increment of 14.52% in comparison to 2018.
Owing to an easy exam this year, experts from leading coaching institutes had anticipated that the cutoff might go high this time. This year, with an outstanding score of 701, Nalin Khandelwal has bagged the All India Rank 1.Amongst women Madhura Reddy G has topped the examination with a score of 695 and AIR 7. The authority has also released a list of 50 toppers of NEET 2019.

Gender-wise performance
Following the trend as last year, girls have fared well in the entrance examination. Total 445761 girl candidates have qualified this year whereas 35,128 male candidates cleared NEET.

State -wise performance
Delhi again has stood out with 74.92% qualifying percentage in the country. Other states like, Haryana, Chandigarh and Andhra Pradesh have stood out with the maximum number of candidates qualifying NEET.
