NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) today on September 12, 2021. More than 16 lakh registered candidates are expected to appear for the single biggest medical entrance exam, NEET-UG. It is crucial to go through the NEET 2021 exam pattern, schedule, dress code and other exam details before appearing for the test.

Candidates must follow the NEET dress code for male, female aspirants and other exam day guidelines to appear for the medical exam.

New NEET 2021 exam pattern introduced

NTA has made few changes in the NEET 2021 exam pattern . Each subject in the NEET question paper will be divided into two sections - Section A and Section B. Section A will contain 35 questions, while section B will have 15 questions. Out of those 15 questions in section B, candidates will have the option to answer any 10 questions.

Follow NEET 2021 dress code

Candidates are advised to follow the NEET dress code for girls and boys. Only students with proper NEET-UG dress code as mentioned below will be allowed to take the exam.

NEET dress code for male

  • Boys should wear half sleeve shirts or T-shirts

  • Trousers for male candidates or simple pants is allowed

  • Clothes should not have zip pockets, big buttons, elaborated embroidery

  • Only sandals or chappals are allowed inside the exam hall

NEET dress code for females 2021

  • Half-sleeve tops, shirts or T-shirt is only allowed

  • Jeans for female aspirants with big pockets, designs and embroidery is not permitted inside the exam centre

  • Leggings, palazzo are also not allowed in the NEET exam

  • Simple pants or jeans for girl candidates can be worn

  • Low heel footwear can be worn

Customary NEET dress code

Aspirants who follow a respective religion can appear for the medical entrance exam wearing their customary dresses. Such students should have mentioned the same in the NEET application form.

  • Sikh candidates can carry their traditional Kangha, Kara, Kirpan

  • Muslim female aspirants are allowed to wear burkha

NEET 2021 will be conducted for admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 veterinary seats.
