NEET 2021: Here's how to challenge answer key, OMR sheet, recorded response

Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the official answer keys and the recorded response for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) at neet.nta.nic.in today. The candidates can challenge provisional answer keys and recorded responses as well as scanned images of OMR answer sheets of NEET (UG) 2021, uploaded by NTA today.
The candidates who wish to challenge the NEET answer key 2021, can opt for it till October 17. The candidates who have an objection to the official answer key, OMR answer sheet grading and recorded responses can opt for challenge by 9.pm on October 17. The NTA have sent the scanned image of the OMR answer sheet to the registered e-mail address given by the candidates at the time of submission of the online application form of NEET (UG) 2021.

To challenge the provisional answer key, candidates have to pay a processing fee of Rs 1000 per question challenged, and the candidates who wish to challenge the OMR answer sheet grading and recorded response have to pay the fees of Rs 200 per questions/grades challenged. The interested candidates can make the payment of processing fee through debit, credit card or net banking till 9 pm on October 17. The NTA will not accept the challenge without receipt of the processing fee online.
As per the notice released by NTA, the challenges will be accepted only through an online mode. The panel of subject experts will verify the challenges made by the candidates, and If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. The key finalized by the experts after the challenge will be final. The result will be prepared and declared on the basis of the revised final answer keys. The NTA will not inform or update the candidates about the acceptance/non-acceptance of their challenge.

Procedure for challenge of answer key

Go to the official NTA website neet.nta.nic.in

Click on ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge'

Select the test booklet code.

Login with your application number
-
Select the question numbers and click on submit
-
Choose the answer that you believe is correct

Click on "Confirm"
- Pay the objection filing fee which is Rs 1000 for every challenged answer, after payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

Login with your application number

Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane and click on the link

Select Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the recorded response

select any question you wish to challenge and submit the option you think is correct

Pay a processing fee of Rs 200 for each question/grade challenged

After payment, download/print the answer key challenge receipt
NEET UG is conducted every year for admission to medical, dental, BSc nursing, veterinary and AYUSH courses. This year, the exam was held on September 12 in pen and paper format in 202 cities at 3858 centres throughout the country and abroad.
