New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2021) exam today on September 12, from 2 pm to 5 pm. More than 16 lakh registered candidates expected to appear for NEET 2021 are required to follow certain rules and regulations specified by the NTA in order to take the NEET exam. The single medical entrance exam will be pen and paper-based. Candidates must carry the relevant documents at the NEET 2021 exam centre.

It must be noted that no other document, except NEET admit card 2021, passport size and postcard size photographs and valid ID proof, will be allowed in the examination. In case candidates fail to bring these documents along with them, they will not be permitted to attend the NEET exam 2021. The details of the documents to be carried in the NEET 2021 are mentioned below.

Things required for NEET exam

  • NEET admit card: The hall ticket with passport size photograph pasted on it should be carried at the exam centre. The security incharge will not allow anyone inside the exam hall without the NEET-UG 2021 admit card.

  • Passport size photograph: Candidates must carry a passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet. Another photograph should be affixed on the NEET admit card.

  • Valid ID proof: Any valid ID proof such as PAN card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhaar Card (with the photograph)/Ration card any other government document should be carried for verification purposes.

  • PwD certificate: Candidates claiming relaxation under the disability category must carry a PwD certificate issued by a competent authority.

  • Proforma of admit card: The proforma downloaded with NEET admit card and postcard size photograph with white background pasted on it should be carried at the exam centre.

  • Duly filled self-declaration/undertaking: The self-attested ‘Undertaking form’ released with the admit card must be carried at the NEET test centre. This self-declaration ensures that candidates follow COVID-19 guidelines carefully and are safe to appear for the medical entrance exam.

NEET 2021: Things not to carry at the exam centre

Candidates should also note that other than the above-mentioned documents, nothing will be permitted to enter the examination hall with them. Candidates are not be allowed to carry the following items in the examination hall:

  • Bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, and other textual things are not allowed.

  • No communication devices like mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health band are permitted inside the exam hall.

  • Wallet, goggles, handbags, belts, cap, wristwatch, bracelet, camera, ornaments/metallic, and other items are prohibited.

  • Food items opened or packed and water bottles are not allowed

  • Any other item which can be used for unfair means is strictly prohibited
