Enrol NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2022 registrations at neet.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply for the undergraduate medical exam is May 6, 2022.
NEET 2022 exam will be held on July 17, 2022. Candidates must update themselves regarding the guidelines that apply when two candidates score the same marks in NEET. In the event of a tie between two candidates' marks in the NEET exam, the NTA applies its tie-breaking policy to determine rank. To know details about the tie-breaking policy, read further
NEET UG 2022: What are the revised tie-breaking criterias?
For the NEET UG 2022, if two or more candidates score same marks in NEET UG 2022, the interse merit shall be determined as follows:

Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in biology NEET 2022.

Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in NEET 2022 chemistry.

Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in physics NEET 2022.
-
Candidates with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in NEET 2022.
-
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in biology.
-
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry.
-
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in NEET 2022 physics.
-
In case the tie still persists, the older candidate will be given preference.
-
If the tie is still there, the application number in ascending order will be considered.
About NEET 2022 exam pattern
NEET 2022 question paper will have 200 questions, each of which will have two sections with internal choices. The NEET exam will be 3 hours and 20 minutes long. As per the exam pattern of NEET 2022, 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response and no mark will be given for any unattempted question.
