The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2022 on July 17 in pen and paper mode. As per the official data, around 95% attendance was recorded in the NEET UG 2022 exam.

NEET 2022: Number of candidates appeared
A total of 18,72,341 candidates were registered for NEET 2022, out of which 10.64 are women, 8.07 men, 771 foreigners, 910 NRIs and 647 OCI. Despite many protests to reschedule NEET UG, as many as 1614777 aspirants appeared.
NEET UG 2022: Number of exam centres
The exam was conducted in a total of 3570 exam centres in 497 cities in India and 14 cities outside India.
NEET UG 2022 cities abroad include Colombo, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Kuala Lampur, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Doha, Manama, Riyadh, Lagos cities.
NEET 2022: Maximum and minimum students appeared state-wise
The maximum number of candidates in NEET 2022 appeared from Jaipur city. A total of 52,351 candidates took the NEET 2022 exam from Jaipur, while West Sikkim noticed a minimum number of candidates with only 105 candidates.
As far as abroad cities are concerned, a maximum of 646 candidates appeared in the Dubai exam centre. Thailand on the other hand experienced a minimum number of candidates counting only 6.
