NEET Answer Key 2022: NTA's marking scheme, tie breaking criteria

Enrol NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET answer key 2022 at the official website: neet.nta.nic.in. The authority will also release the NEET 2022 OMR sheet along with the answer key. NEET 2022 exam was conducted on July 17 in pen and paper mode.
Candidates who appeared in the medical entrance examination can calculate their probable scores using the NTA NEET answer key and OMR sheet. Aspirants can also challenge the provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable amount of Rs. 200 per challenged answer. NEET 2022 marking scheme
A total of 200 questions were asked in the NEET 2022 exam out of which candidates had to answer only 180 questions. NEET total marks are 720. There is a provision of negative marking in the NEET examination for every incorrect response. Check the marking scheme of NEET from the below table.

NEET 2022: Tie breaking criteria
In case two or more candidates secure the equal marks/ percentile scores in the NEET 2022, the authority will employ the below-mentioned tie-breaking criteria:

Candidate securing higher marks in Biology will be given first preference.

If the tie is not resolved, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will secure higher rank in the merit list.

In case, tie still remains, the candidate with higher marks in Physics will be given preference.

If the issue still persists, the candidate with less proportion of incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects will secure higher rank.

Followed by, candidate with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Biology will secure higher rank in the NEET 2022 merit list.

If the issue is not resolved, candidate with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Chemistry will be given preference.

Candidate with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Physics will secure higher rank in case tie still remains.

Candidate with older age will be given preference afterwards.

At last preference will be given to the application number in ascending order.
