NEW DELHI, JANUARY 7: National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the process of NEET application form on December 7, 2018. Only the registered aspirants will now be allowed to correct the details filled in the application form. Earlier, the regulatory body had declared the NEET correction date 2019. The correction window will be activated from January 14 to 31, 2019, for the candidates to modify the incorrect details filled. Only those candidates whose applications will be edited within the stipulated time period will be issued the NEET admit card 2019 from April 15 onwards.

Submit the details carefully

The correction window facility is the last opportunity for the candidates to revise and make changes in their application form before the last date. Therefore, the candidates are advised to pay heed to the details while editing the form. All the information will be open for the candidates to edit, states the official information bulletin.  The link for correction will be made available to the candidates on the official website of NEET UG 2019.

Particulars like name, father & mother’s name, date of birth and identification number should be the same as given in the supported ID proof. These details of the candidates will be cross-checked from the identification type that the candidates have provided. Moreover, NTA has mailed all the registered applicants about the discrepancy in their uploaded passport size photograph and signature.

How to correct the details?

In order to edit the details in NEET UG 2019 application form, applicants can follow the procedure given below.

  • Candidates are required to visit the official website which is ntaneet.nic.in.

  • Go to the NEET candidate login 2019 option and enter the login credentials

  • Click on the button mentioning ‘Correction in NEET application form 2019’

  • Carefully modify the incorrect details filled in the form and click to preview or submit the details.

  • Enter the OTP number (One Time Password) that will be sent on your registered mobile in the next step.

  • Print the confirmation slip that will appear on the screen for future references.

Documents to be kept for future reference

After successfully submitting the form, candidates must make sure that they retain the relevant documents which might be useful in further admission procedure. Documents like fee payment slip, copy of confirmation page of NEET application form, self-declaration form in respect of candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir among others must be kept carefully. All these documents must be furnished at the time of MBBS and BDS counselling.

About NEET 2019

NEET UG exam will be conducted on May 5, for admission to 66,771 MBBS and 27,148 BDS seats offered by government, private, deemed and central universities of India. The authorities will declare the result of UG medical entrance exam in online mode on June 5, 2019.

NEET UG, conducted for the first time be NTA, will be of the duration of 3 hours in which the candidates are required to attempt 180 objective questions. Each question will carry 4 marks. Each correct response will get candidate 4 marks while each incorrect response will result in deduction of one mark.
