NEET correction window 2019 opens; Know the steps to make necessary changes

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 14: National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the facility of NEET correction 2019 to modify the incorrect details entered during online registration. NEET 2019 correction window will be open till January 31, after which aspirants cannot make any changes in the application form. The admit card for NEET 2019 will be issued to the candidates from April 15 onwards. NTA had concluded the process of NEET application form on December 7, 2019.

Candidates are advised to use the facility of NEET correction window 2019 to rectify the errors in the application form, as no modifications will be allowed after the last date. It must be noted that all the fields in NEET application form can be corrected. In order to correct the fields, aspirants can check the necessary points while making the changes.

 

1. Error in uploaded images

The authority has notified the registered candidates via email  regarding any kind of discrepancy in the uploaded passport size photograph, left-hand thumb impression or signature. The email clearly specifies the particular details that needs to be rectified by the candidates. The particular detail must be immediately corrected within a week after receiving the mail. The candidates need to edit and submit the application form within stipulated time period in order to receive NEET admit card 2019.

 

2. Steps to correct the details

To edit the details in the application form, the aspirants can follow the procedure listed below.

  • Log in to the official website; ntaneet.nic.in.
  • Enter the NEET registration number and password in the NEET candidate login 2019 option.
  • Click on  ‘Correction in NEET application form 2019’
  • Make the desired changes in the application form and click on ‘Preview’ to assess the application form before submitting the form.
  • Once sure about the details entered, click on ‘Submit’.
  • Enter the OTP number (One Time Password) that will be sent on your registered mobile in the next step.
  • Print the confirmation slip which will appear on the screen for further procedures and record.

3. One-time opportunity

NTA is providing a last chance for the candidates to change the incorrect details that may have been submitted in the online application. Applicants are advised to ensure that the details thus filled in correction process is correct, as this will be the only opportunity to make corrections in the application form. No correction will be allowed to make after the completion of last date of correction facility.

 

4. Fields to be edited

The information brochure of NEET UG states that all the information entered in the form will be open for the candidate to edit. Other permissible corrections can also be carried through login account only during schedule fixed for the same. Details like name of the candidate, father & mother’s name, date of birth and identification number should be the same as given in ID proof submitted along with the form. Such details will be cross-examined from the identification type that the candidates have provided.

 

5. NEET UG 2019

NTA is going to conduct NEET on May 5, 2019, for admission to around 66,771 MBBS and 27,148 BDS seats offered by government, private, deemed and central universities across the country. The exam will be conducted on offline mode which will contain 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. NEET UG 2019 result  will be declared online on June 5, 2019.
