NEET PG 2019 Result Statistics released by NBE; 79,633 candidates qualified the PG exam

Use NowNEW DELHI, February 2: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has published an official notice mentioning the statistics of NEET PG 2019 exam. As per the official notification, as many as 1,43,148 candidates took the online test, of which only 79,633 aspirants have qualified the national level post graduate entrance exam. The regulatory body conducted NEET PG entrance exam on January 6, 2019, except for J&K aspirants, which was held on January 17. The result of NEET PG 2019 was announced online on January 31, in the form of PDF file containing exam roll number, scores obtained (out of 1200) and All India Rank.
The cutoff of NEET PG has also been declared, with a hike by 19 marks for candidates belonging to unreserved category. The marks equivalent to minimum qualifying percentile for UR category is 340, while last year, the corresponding marks for same category was 321. For reserved category, the cutoff scores determined by NBE is 295, which indicates the hike of 14 marks than the previous year.

As mentioned in the press release, 37,305 general category candidates managed to qualify the computer based test, while from OBC, SC and ST, as many as 31121, 8857 and 2350 have passed the NEET PG online exam, respectively.

NEET PG Result Statistics - Category-wise Qualification
NBE has released the category specific NEET PG result statistics for UR, OBC, SC and ST candidates. The aspirants from genera; category has outperformed with 37,305 passing the NEET PG exam for admission to MD and MS courses across the country. NEET PG Result 2019 Statistics - State-wise Qualification: Highest and Lowest
The state-wise number of candidates who qualified NEET PG 2019 exam has also been made available. With a total of 17,067 Tamil Nadu has recorded the highest number of participants who appeared for the entrance test. Also the state has emerged as the topmost number of qualified candidates who managed to secure the minimum qualifying cutoff and equivalent scores set by NBE.
However, on the other side, the state of Meghalaya has seen only 135 registrations, of which only 96 aspirants managed to pass the test.

After NEET PG Result 2019
NBE will release the merit list of NEET PG 2019 for 50% All India Quota candidates in the second week of February, which will mention the All India Rank. Based on these NEET PG rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses selected by them, seats availability, reservation criteria and other factors the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET PG counselling 2019 from second week of March.
