NEW DELHI: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday wrote a letter to Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya requesting extension of NEET PG 2023 internship deadline. The students group requested to extend the NEET PG 2023 internship eligibility date to July 31, 2023.
The members of the students union met Mansukh Mandaviya on February 2 and asked to reduce the gap between the NEET PG 2023 exam and counselling. They further demanded to reopen the NEET PG application form window.
After several requests from the prospective candidates, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) extended the March 31 internship deadline to June 30 . The decision was taken as a large section of students were ineligible to appear in the exam.
The NBE said that it will hold the exam on March 5. After the NEET PG 2023 exam date announcement, students and resident doctors association started protesting over insufficient time to prepare for the exam and months gap between the exam and counselling. Students are still flooding Twitter with requests to postpone NEET PG 2023 .
