Try NowNEW DELHI: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) clarified on Saturday that a notice claiming that its wellness centres would remain closed from August 27 to August 31 due to the deployment of medical officers for NEET-PG examination duty is false and unauthorised.
In a circular, the Directorate of CGHS said the notice, which is being circulated using the CGHS name and logo, has neither been issued nor authorised by it and its contents are false.
"CGHS Wellness Centres shall function during the aforesaid period in accordance with their prescribed working schedule," the directorate said. It added that any deployment of CGHS personnel for official duties would be managed through appropriate administrative arrangements, without any disruption of services to beneficiaries.

The directorate asked the additional directors of the CGHS to ensure that the clarification is brought to the notice of all wellness centres and the beneficiaries under their jurisdiction. They were also asked to make necessary staffing and duty arrangements to ensure continuity of services and that the unauthorised notice is neither displayed nor circulated by any CGHS office or official.
The CGHS advised beneficiaries and the members of the public to disregard the notice and verify CGHS-related information only through its official website, the myCGHS 2.0 application or the CGHS authorities concerned.
The directorate also said the unauthorised use of the CGHS name and logo is being viewed seriously and asked people to report any information regarding the source or circulation of the notice for appropriate action.
