NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced withdrawal of Postgraduate Diplomate of National Board (PG DNB) seats from two medical colleges for Round 1 of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2022 counselling. NEET PG 2022 counselling round 1 choice-filling will end tomorrow, September 30.

MCC restarted choice-filling for Round 1 on September 28 after withdrawing provisional result. NEET PG counselling 2022 round 1 final result will now be declared on September 30.

MCC has received information from Ursala Horsman Memorial Hospital, Uttar Pradesh and Sakshi Netralaya to remove PG DNB seats from the seat matrix of Round-1 of NEET PG Counselling 2022.

Post MBBS Diploma Ophthalmology seat from Ursala Horsman Memorial Hospital has been removed as the accreditation of the department is being withdrawn whereas Sakshi Netralaya is withdrawing DNB Ophthalmology seat because two candidates have been allotted one seat.

The latter said in an email, “This is to bring to your kind attention that we are eligible for 1 Post MBBS Primary DNB quota seat. However, the counselling matrix shows two candidates for the seat allotted to the hospital. We wish to inform you that the hospital would be able to accommodate one student only for the seat.”

Earlier, MCC removed PG seats from medical colleges – Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal; BJ Government Medical College, Ahmedabad; Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, Assam; HomiBhabha Cancer Hospital, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh; and Government Medical College Suryapet, Telangana.

Morevoer, MCC also added new seats in Round 1. Medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh announced new seats.
