NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has postponed the NEET PG hearing for the fourth time today despite stating earlier that it would be the final hearing on the matter. The apex court will now hear the NEET PG petitions seeking transparency in the PG medical entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on November 26, as per reports.

The bench comprising Justices BR Gavai and MV Viswanathan was scheduled to hear the NEET PG case today, however, it deferred the hearing to next Tuesday. A group of NEET PG aspirants filed a petition against the NBEMS and demanded to make the answer key, raw marks, and normalisation method used to prepare results public. Despite several requests, the NBEMS refused to upload the NEET PG answer key, raw marks on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
The Supreme Court first heard the matter on September 20 and took note of the last-minute changes introduced by the board and called it a “very unusual” step to tweak the NEET PG exam pattern days before the exam.

A week later, the court had to defer the hearing due to the absence of the additional solicitors general representing the Centre and NBE and requested the presence to assist the court in the matter.
The computer-generated NEET PG Supreme Court hearing was on October 25, however, it was also postponed and the court directed to list the matter on a “non-miscellaneous day” stating the requirement for a detailed hearing.
The bench on November 12 also heard fresh petitions asking the court to put the NEET PG counselling on hold until the hearing is complete. However, the court said it would hear the matter as per the schedule.
