NEET Registration 2019 to close today; Check these points before final submission

Download EBookNEW DELHI, DECEMBER 7: The application form of NEET 2019 released by National Testing Agency (NTA) will be closing on December 7, 2018. Only the registered candidates will be allowed to pay the application fee till December 8, up to 11:50 PM. The registration fees can be paid in online and offline mode only. Earlier, NEET application form last date was November 30. Aspirants whose applications will be submitted before the due date can download NEET admit card 2019 from April 15, in online mode.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will conducted on May 5, 2019, in pen and paper mode and only the registered students will be allowed to appear for the exam. With just one day left for NEET form, candidates must remember the points mentioned below while registering for UG medical entrance exam.
1. Payment of NEET application fee
For successful completion of NEET UG registrations, it is mandatory to deposit the application fees. Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories must remit an amount of Rs. 1400, while those for SC and ST aspirants, it is Rs. 750. The prescribed application fee must be paid either in online using credit/debit cards and net banking or offline mode through e-Challan to be submitted within the bank hours.
2. Change in NEET eligibility criteria 2019
As per the notification published by NTA on November 29, general category candidates with upper age limit of 25 years and above (30 years and above for reserved category aspirants) will be allowed to fill the application form. The Supreme Court of India, earlier on the same date, ordered NTA to postpone the NEET registration process for seven days which is December 7, 2018.
Along with that, NTA has also granted permission to Persons with Disabilities to register themselves for national medical entrance examination. However, no revised amended guidelines has been mentioned for PwD candidates. The notification released by the authority also states that in case of any changes in guidelines of Medical Council of India (MCI), PH students can modify the details at the time of correction facility.
3. Correction in the uploaded photograph and signature
The registered students will now receive an email from the conducting authority regarding the discrepancy in uploaded passport size photograph or signature. Candidates must upload the correct scanned image within a week of receiving the mail. The procedure for uploading the correct images is mentioned below.

Click on the ‘NEET candidate login’ option available on the official website.

Enter the application number and password to login.

Upload the correct signature or passport size photograph as per the prescribed specifications.

An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address after making the correction.

A correction slip will be available on the screen and a printout must be taken for future use.
4. NEET application form 2019 correction window
In case of any incorrect information filled by aspirants, the authority will provide the NEET UG correction facility to modify/delete such details from January 14 to 31, 2019. NTA has specified that certain fields cannot be edited while filling the application form, such as gender, category, nationality, state of eligibility (15% All India Quota seats), PwD status, medium of paper and choices of exam city. However, the official FAQs states that all the fields in the registration form can be edited.
Aforementioned, candidates successfully registered will be issued with the hall ticket containing name of aspirant, father’s name, date of birth, category, gender, date and time of exam, name and address details of exam centre along with the photograph and signature.
