NEW DELHI: The result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) has been declared today, June 13. Tamil Nadu’s Prabanjan J and Andhra Pradhesh's Bora Varun Chakravarthi have both bagged All India Rank (AIR) 1 in NEET UG 2023 result. This year, the NTA NEET tie-breaking rules were altered to remove the age factor from deciding NEET AIR in cases where candidates have scored the same across sections. The candidate who secured NEET AIR 50, Kamlesh Saini, has scored 710.
Aspirants meeting the NEET 2023 cut-off will now have to participate in the NEET counselling process for admission to UG medical programmes under all India quota (AIQ) seats and state-quota seats. The respective state counselling authorities will prepare a merit list for the seat allotment process to admit students to the medical courses. NEET scores will be used for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, veterinary, BSC Nursing and BSc Life Sciences programmes.
