The NTA has declared the NEET UG results 2023 yesterday and activated three NEET result links on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in for candidates to download scorecard. However, the NEET final answer key is yet to be released. Students will be able to download the NEET UG final answer key PDF soon from NTA NEET website.

Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin on NExT exam said: "The introduction of National Exit Test (NExT) will be an additional burden on our young medical students, who already have a rigorous academic load. It will force them to focus more on the theoretical part of medicine during their course and internships and is bound to hamper development of adequate clinical skills. It is also an attempt to dilute the role of State Governments and Universities in the health sector and to centralise powers with the Union Government."

NEET Results 2023 | A total of 20,38,596 candidates who appeared in the exam this year. Out of which 11,45,976 students, 56.21%, have cleared the NEET UG for admission to MBBS, BDS admission 2023 and other medical courses.

The NEET result 2023 data will also be utilized for BSc (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria. Besides BSc Nursing, admission to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges will also be based on NEET scores.

This year, the NEET topper is from Tamil Nadu, the state that has been strongly opposing the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test. As per the NEET results 2023, Prabanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh have scored a perfect NTA score and bagged NEET rank 1.

The NTA NEET official website was not working for hours after the declaration of results. However, the NEET result 2023 links are now active at neet.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in.

As per latest updates, NEET UG result 2023 will be announced by or after 10 pm today, June 13, on the official website -- neet.nta.nic.in.

NMC derecognised 40 medical colleges for violating norms related to CCTV cameras, Aadhaar-linked biometric attendance procedures and faculty rolls found during inspections. It also warned that 100 more medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Assam, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and West Bengal may also face the same action.

In NEET UG 2023, NTA has no provision for rechecking or revaluation of the answer sheet because of following reasons:

• The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.
• Candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) had disapproved the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College's proposal of increasing MBBS seats from 150 to 200. The college had explained that there were miscalculations in the report of NMC team including incomplete data which resulted in rejection by the commission.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released Hindi MBBS textbooks for 3 subjects as part of the Madhya Pradesh government's initiative to impart medical education in Hindi language. The textbooks were received with mixed reactions from students, doctors, and medical education experts. While some found the step as a "gimmick", others welcomed the books and called them "stepping stone".

NEET UG 2023 result can also be downloaded from Digilocker. Candidates will have to create an account first and go to the browse documents section and select "NEET score card" to access the PDF. 

If a candidate was found using unfair means or indulging in cheating in NEET UG 2023 exam, he or she will be debarred from appearing for the exam for three years and will be liable for criminal action. NEET result 2023 will be withheld for such candidates.

NTA is yet to publish NEET final answer key 2023. The final answer key will be prepared after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates against the provisional answer key of NEET UG 2023. Candidates will not be able to challenge the final answer key. NEET result 2023 will be prepared on the basis of NEET UG final answer key 2023 only. 

For admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical and Surgery (BAMS), NEET 2023 score card will be used. The Ayush ministry has issued the rules of BAMS admissions, according to which candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology overall in Class 12, and reserved category students should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks. Reserved category and disable candidates need 40% marks.

After the declaration of NEET result 2023, qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process. NEET UG counselling 2023 will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. MCC will announce the official schedule of NEET UG 2023 counselling on its official website -- mcc.nic.in.

Tanishka who topped last year's NEET UG exam aimed to get admission in AIIMS Delhi. The candidate scored 715 marks out of 720. Notably, AIIMS Delhi has been the top medical college in the country for years, as per the NIRF ranking announced by the Ministry of education. The student took her coaching from Allen Career Institute, Kota. 

The National Medical Commission (NMC) is conducting a survey to find out the stipend amount being paid to MBBS interns in self-financed or private medical colleges. NMC took up the survey after complaints by medical students that they are not being paid enough and colleges are violating the internship rules.

An assistant professor of biochemistry commented on NEET UG eligibility criteria and tweeted, "Should there be a minimum marks scored in 12th to be able to write #NEET or in other words be eligible to obtain a MBBS seat? Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham located in Tamil Nadu bagged the sixth position in NIRF ranking 2023 medical. The institute jumped two places up from eighth position last year.

Andhra Pradesh will start five new government medical colleges from this academic session, minister of health and family welfare, Rajini Vidadala informed through a tweet. NMC has given permission to the colleges to start MBBS admissions and each college will start with 150 UG seats.

NTA has not made any official announcement on the NEET result 2023 date and time as of yet. The NEET UG result 2023 is expected to be declared today, June 13, as per media reports. Some reported that NTA will announce NEET UG 2023 results before Wednesday but the time has not been decided. Usually, NEET result is declared in the night. 

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is the top medical college in Uttar Pradesh according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2023 for the medical category. In the overall medical ranking, BHU has been placed on the eighth position as JIPMER replaced it and grabbed the fifth position.

50 new medical colleges have been approved in the following states: Telangana, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Nagaland, Maharashtra, Assam, Karnataka, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. With the approval, the colleges have added 8,195 undergraduate seats.

NEET OMR sheet PDF was sent to candidate's email IDs on June 4 for May 7 exam. The OMR sheet included the responses filled by the candidates in NEET UG 2023 exam. NTA issued the OMR sheet on June 11 for candidates who appeared for re-exam held on June 6. Students were allowed to challenge it by June 12. After reviewing the challenges in OMR sheet as well as answer key, NTA will release the NEET final answer key 2023 and NEET result 2023.

For MBBS admissions, the highest NEET UG cut-off in Karnataka was 4,586 for general category at the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute last year. Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2023 will be done by state counselling authority.

NTA will upload the NEET final answer key 2023 before or along with NEET UG result 2023. The provisional answer key was released on June 11 for Manipur candidates who were allowed to challenge it by 4 pm on June 12. 

The National Medical Commission (NMC), in its new regulations, has announced to provide assessment results and rating of medical colleges publicly to help students seeking MBBS admissions. Earlier, NMC used to publish assessment reports and historical data of colleges. The latest assessment results of medical colleges will mention whether the college is recognised, derecognised or if its recognition is on hold.

A total of 20,87,449 candidates appeared for NEET UG 2023 exam held on May 7 while 8,753 candidates appeared for the re-exam held on June 6, as per the National Testing Agency.

NEET UG 2023 difficulty level is one of the factors to determine the NEET UG 2023 cut-off. In this year's NEET UG 2023 exam, students found physics and chemistry subjectes as ‘moderate to tough’ whereas biology was easy. Some reported biology section to be lengthy. The questions were based on NCERT syllabus. 

Last year, the toppers scored 715 marks out of a total of 720 marks in NEET UG exam. Tanishka, Vatsa Ashish Batra, Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule, and Rucha Pawashe scored the same marks with an exact percentile score of 99.9997733. However, the toppers were placed at different ranks due to the tie-breaking policy.

The National Medical Commission has revised the minimum age criteria for the NEET UG aspirants. According to the revised criteria, a candidate must be 17-year-old as on or before January 31 of the year of the MBBS, BDS admissions. Earlier, the cut-off date was December 31 instead of January 1. The commission announced the new rules in its "Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023”.

The full form of BDS is Bachelor of Dental Surgery which is one of the top medical courses in India. BDS admissions are done through NEET UG exam and the Medical Counselling Committee conducts the BDS counselling. The highest NEET closing rank at which a medical college closed admission to BDS was 7,469 at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi.

The Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore is the top private medical college in the country as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2023. The medical college has been placed on the 3rd position in the NIRF ranking 2023 for the medical category while AIIMS Delhi is on the top.

According to NEET UG 2023 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. No marks will be given for unanswered questions in both sections - A and B.

NTA released the provisional NEET UG answer key 2023, recorded responses, and OMR sheets for 8,753 Manipur candidates who appeared for re-exam due to law and order situation on June 12. The re-exam was held on June 6.

Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed that there are a total of 1,05,163 MBBS seats in India. The number of seats has increased to this from 51,348 in 2014. Whereas, the current number of medical colleges in India is 693.

Some medical colleges such as Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, MGM Medical College, Aurangabad and more offer MBBS admissions to candidates with NEET scores between 300-400.

NEET 2023 was conducted twice this year -- May 7 and June 6. While the May 7 exam was taken 20,87,449 candidates and was held at 4,097 different centres located in 499 cities, 8,753 medical aspirants took NEET UG from 34 centres located in 11 cities on June 6. The NEET UG 2023 June 6 exam was held at the request of the Manipur government in the wake of the law-and-order situation prevalent during May 7.

Answer: To check NEET 2023 result, candidates who appeared for the medical entrance test will have to login at the neet.nta.nic.in 2023 website with their application numbers and dates of birth.

The NEET MBBS/ BDS cut-off for General category candidates is 50th, while for OBC, SC and ST, it is 40th.

The NTA will make the NEET result 2023 link available at the NEET official website -- neet.nta.nic.in tomorrow, June 13. The NEET result 2023 date and time is however, not announced by NTA.
