NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the official brochure of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty- NEET SS 2020 along with the important dates on August 3, 2020. The information brochure has been released with some major changes and social distancing norms for the exam.

As per the official brochure, the application form for NEET SS is available from August 3 to 23, 2020 and the exam will be conducted on September 15, 2020, in the computer-test mode. The authority will announce NEET SS result 2020 on September 25, 2020. All the dates for NEET SS 2020 can be checked below.

Major Changes in NEET SS 2020 brochure

The major changes in the NEET SS 2020 information brochure are as follows:

  • Addition in exam cities- Ten cities have been added for NEET SS 2020 exam which includes Ajmer, Bikaner, Ernakulam, Faridabad, Gandhinagar, Kollam, Mohali, Patiala, Roorkee, Sikar, Varanasi and Vijayawada.

  • Deduction in exam cities- While ten new cities have been added, two cities which are Chandigarh and Rajkot have been removed as the exam cities for NEET SS 2020.

  • Special exam day guidelines for COVID-19- In order to take collective safety measures and avoid crowding, the authority has released the exam day guidelines which includes temperature check, the abolition of hand metal detectors and allocation of time slots to candidates for entering the examination hall. Such guidelines will also be mentioned in the admit card of NEET SS 2020 and each aspirant is advised to go through such guidelines once the admit card is released.

On the basis of NEET SS 2020 result, which is expected to be released by September 25, admission will be granted in all DM/MCh courses in 156 private/government medical colleges/universities/deemed universities and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions except the institutions mentioned below.

  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi

  • Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh

  • Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry

  • National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru

  • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram
