NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) registration. Aspirants will be able to submit NEET UG application form 2023 till April 6, 2023. The NEET 2023 notification contains details of application form, exam pattern, eligibility criteria, syllabus at the NTA official website, neet.nta.nic.in 2023 or nta.ac.in.

The NEET UG 2023 application fee has been increased for all categories. The fee for the General category candidates is Rs 1,700, for the general-Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidate is Rs 1,600. The Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and third gender category candidates need to pay Rs 1,000. For the Non-Residential Indian (NRI) category candidates it is Rs 9,500.
The NEET UG exam 2023 will be held on May 7 in 485 exam cities in India and 14 exam cities abroad. Last year, the exam was held in 543 exam cities.
Aspirants who wish to pursue MBBS, BDS and other medical courses in India will have to appear for the NEET UG exam 2023 to take admission. Candidates will have to check the eligibility criteria and keep the important documents ready before filling in the NEET UG application form 2023.

NEET UG Registration 2023 Starts: The NTA has released the NEET 2023 notification along with the application form. How to apply at neet.nta.nic.in 2023. Latest updates on NEET UG registration last date, eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus etc.
Candidates appearing in Class 12 in 2023 should select a qualifying code as 01.
NTA has also notified that NEET score will be used to shortlist candidates for admission to BSc nursing courses. “MNS (Military Nursing Service) aspirants seeking admission to BSc Nursing Course being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2023 are required to qualify NEET. The NEET score will be used for shortlisting for selection to the four year BSc Nursing course,” NTA said in an official notification.
The record of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) 2023 would be preserved only up to 90 days from the date of declaration of result, NTA said.
Candidates not well conversant in submitting online application forms can register for the entrance test through the Common Service Centres (CSCs). There are more than 1.5 lakh CSCs across the country which seeks to provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of application form and payment of fee through e-wallet. The list of CSCs is available on the website -- csc.gov.in.

In NEET UG 2023 entrance exam, if two or more applicants taking the exam score the same NEET marks or percentile score, NTA will follow a tie-breaking methodology to break the deadlock in this order --
Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in biology (botany and zoology) in the test, followed by,
Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in chemistry in the test, followed by,
Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in physics in the test, followed by,
Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany and Zoology) in the test, followed by
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry in the test, followed by
Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in physics in the test
The candidate's age will also be not considered while breaking the deadlock in NEET UG 2023 same scores.
The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15 per cent of All India quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET (UG) - 2023. The list of successful candidates shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling to 15% All India Quota Seats.
Unlike previous year, when NEET UG application number used to play a role in breaking the tie among candidates scoring the same marks, this year, the application number will not play any role. Candidates can fill the neet.nta.nic.in UG 2023 application form by April 6.
The NTA in the NEET UG information brochure has said that application form other than the one filled in online mode will not be accepted. Candidates are not required to send the NEET UG confirmation page of the online application form or any other document to the NTA. However, the candidates are advised to preserve at least four copies of the confirmation page along with the proof of fee paid for future reference.

The candidates with a Disability shall be considered for admission in medical course against 5 per cent of the total seats, in accordance with the criteria prescribed under the Regulation on Graduate Medical Education (1997) as amended up to 13-05-2019.
While filling up of the online Application Form of NEET UG 2023, when the candidate selects ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.), the Result Mode field will be disabled and the associated fields for Marks/CGPA will be invisible for Tamil Nadu State Board candidates who have passed their Class 10 in year 2021.
NTA has prescribed certain qualifying exam codes for NEET 2023 UG. The NEET UG information brochure on the neet.nta.nic.in website has enlisted the qualifying exam code for NEET 2023.
The NEET 2023 registration which started on March 6 will continue till April 6. The official website is to register for NEET UG 2023 is neet.nta.nic.in/neetug-2023-registration.
The students who have received education abroad and wish to seek admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English with 50% marks in class 12 and their equivalency determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned university.
Candidates are not required to send or submit any documents including the confirmation page to NTA through post, fax, WhatsApp, email or by hand.

After that complete the registration process to create login credentials. To be eligible for NEET UG 2023, the candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks (40 per cent for reserved category candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

Candidates that have passed or are currently appearing in Class 12 or an equivalent exam are eligible for NEET UG 2023.
