NEET UG 2024 controversy

NTA conducted the NEET UG 2024 on May 5 for over 24 lakh students. Rumors about the NEET paper leak began spreading on social media weeks before the exam, but the NTA dismissed these claims and confirmed that the exam would proceed as scheduled. However, the NEET UG result date coinciding with the 18th Lok Sabha election results sparked suspicion.

Additionally, an unusually high number of NEET AIR Rank 1 holders raised further questions. Despite the NTA's explanation regarding grace marks, the response from students, parents, and others was largely negative. The numerous irregularities reported after the NEET results announcement have led to controversy and disappointment in the education system.

Amid this, the Supreme court ordered to conduct NEET retest 2024 for 1,563 students, who were granted grace marks on June 23.
