NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to commence the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 counselling shortly. The MCC will publish a detailed NEET UG 2024 counselling notification and schedule soon on its official website, mcc.nic.in. As per reports, the NEET UG 2024 counselling date was scheduled to be announced on July 24.

Earlier, MCC had issued an official notice requesting medical colleges to submit the MBBS seat matrix on its official portal by July 20. On July 23, the Supreme Court announced that the NEET UG 2024 exam will not be cancelled.
Following the court's decision, education minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the NEET UG 2024 final results would be announced within two days. The Supreme Court's ruling was based on the conclusion of an expert panel from IIT Delhi, which determined that the 'ambiguous' question had only one correct answer. Previously, the NTA had awarded four marks to candidates who provided one of the two 'correct' answers, which the Supreme Court has now deemed incorrect.
