After the NEET answer key challenge facility ends, the NTA will declare the NEET UG results 2024 on June 14. The results will be based on the final answer key, which is prepared after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates.
The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% of All India quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET score.
To be eligible for admission to undergraduate (UG) medical courses, the general, general-EWS category candidates will have to obtain a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET UG 2024. However, scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backward classes (OBC) will have to obtain 40th percentile.
“In respect of candidates with Benchmark, Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for Unreserved Category & GEN-EWS Category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates,” the information brochure read.

The NEET UG question paper 2024 was divided into two sections - section A will consist of 35 questions and Section B will have 15 questions. Candidates were given an option to attempt 10 questions out of the 15 questions in section B. Section A carried 140 marks, while section B carried 40 marks, totalling 720 marks.
As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. No marks will be deducted for questions not attempted.
NEET UG 2024 percentile score is defined as “the percentage of scores that falls below a given score in a group." The NTA calculates the NEET percentile score using the formula given below.
