In cases of a tie, NID will employ the following tie-breaking criteria- firstly, preference will be given to the candidate with more marks in part B of the DAT Prelims. If this fails to resolve the tie, priority will then shift to the candidate who achieved higher marks in part A of the DAT prelims. In the event that the tie persists despite these measures, both candidates will be allocated the same rank.
Candidates who successfully pass the Prelims examination will be eligible to appear in the BDes Mains exam 2024. The NID DAT BDes Mains comprises studio tests and personal interviews. Studio tests focus on evaluating candidates' practical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and creativity through hands-on activities. while the personal interview delves into the candidate's views on design, experience, and communication skills, for evaluating their suitability for the BDes program.
