NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2025 entrance exam on January 6. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for NIFT 2025 through the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.

However, the registered applicants who missed the deadline, will be able to fill the NIFT 2025 application form from January 7 to 9, with a late fee of Rs 5,000.

As per the official schedule, the NIFT 2025 exam will be conducted on February 9 for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes for the academic session 2025-26.

The deadline to fill the NIFT 2025 application form is January 6 and the registered candidates will be able to make changes to their application through the correction facility from January 10. The last date to edit the NIFT 2025 application form is January 12.

The exam for admission in the fashion institute will be based on the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). The candidates, opting BDes and MDes also need to appear for the CAT, whereas, the GAT is common for all the courses.

NIFT 2025 Registration: Eligibility criteria

The interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria for BDes programmes below:

  • Passed the Class 12 from any recognized central or state board.
  • A pass grade in the senior secondary school examination conducted by the national open school with a minimum of five subjects.

  • 3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education after Class 10 Any public school, board, university examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the association of Indian universities as equivalent to Class 10+2 system.

  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London, Cambridge, Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level, International Baccalaureate (IB).
