NIFT Admission 2022: Dates, eligibility and how to apply

NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Fashion Technology will soon release the NIFT 2022 application form on the official website nift.ac.in. Aspirants interested in taking BDes, BFTech, MDes, MFM and MFTech admission at NIFT campuses are required to apply for NIFT entrance exam. The NIFT application process is completely online and can be done by the candidates who meet the stated eligibility criteria.

Who can apply for NIFT entrance exam

It is required for the candidates to satisfy the stated NIFT 2022 eligibility criteria for the applied programmes to appear in the NIFT design entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for NIFT Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) programmes are as follows.

Upper Age Limit

• The upper age limit for general and OBC - NCL category candidates must be less than 24 years as on August 1, 2022.

• The maximum age limit for SC/St/PwD candidates gets 5 years relaxation.

BDes Admission - Educational Qualification

• Aspirants must pass the 10+2 exam from a recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or

• Aspirants must have a pass grade for the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with minimum five subjects or

• Aspirants must pass or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or

• Aspirants must pass any Board/Public School/University examination conducted in India or overseas accorded by Association of Indian Universities which is equivalent to 10+2 system or

• Aspirants must pass the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Sri Lanka/ Cambridge/) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB).

BFTech Admission - Qualifying exam

• Applicants must pass 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination like Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or

• Applicants must pass 3 or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or

• Applicants must have a pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or

• Applicants must pass Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries accorded by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or

• Applicants must pass the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the advanced (A) level / International Baccalaureate (IB).

NIFT Admission 2022: How to fill the NIFT form

NIFT registration form can be filled online by visiting the official website - nift.ac.in. It is advisable to keep the required documents and enclosure beforehand to avoid unnecessary delay while filling the NIFT application form 2022. About NIFT entrance exam

NIFT entrance exam is a qualifying exam for design admission at NIFT campuses.The entrance exam is conducted once in a year at national level in pen and paper mode at multiple test centres across the country.
