NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) University has reaffirmed its 100% placement record for the batch of 2024 and offered the highest salary package of Rs 44.27 lakh. The average salary package went up to Rs 7.92 lakh. Notably, 95% of the students have secured job roles aligned with their expertise.
According to the official NIIT University statement, top companies such as Ernst & Young, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, PWC, Data Security Council of India, IBM, Genpact, and Western Union recruited from NIIT University. Students were offered roles in multiple domains, including AI data scientist, cognitive data scientist, business analyst, network security consultant, and cybersecurity analyst.
NIIT University also received the NetAcad Excellence Award at the Cisco NetAcad India Conference 2025 in Bangalore for its contributions to digital education. The award was accepted by the national programme head of NIIT Foundation, Akhilesh Sharma, on behalf of NIIT. Also, NIIT Foundation was recognised as the Best Academy Support Partner at the event, reinforcing NU’s role to foster industry-aligned education.

According to the NIIT University statement, the main factor in the university’s placement records is because of its focus on academic partnership, which bridges the gap between education and employment. NIIT recently partnered with Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand, and the University of Indianapolis (UINDY), USA.
"The collaboration with VUW enhances NU’s Biotechnology programme, giving students access to a globally recognised curriculum. Similarly, the partnership with UINDY expands international learning and research opportunities, preparing NU students for global careers," the official NIIT University statement said.
Moreover, aligning with the industry demands, NIIT introduced a BTech programme in artificial intelligence and data science to equip students with interdisciplinary expertise in rising growth domains.
