NIOS 10th exam 2021 cancelled and Class 12 postponed

The National Institute of Open Schooling has cancelled the NIOS exam 2021 for Class 10 and postponed Class 12 exams due to rising COVID-19 cases.

Download NowNEW DELHI: National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has cancelled the public exams of NIOS 10th 2021. The theory and practical both exams of Class 10 stands cancelled. Along with this, the institute has announced that NIOS 12th exam 2021 have been postponed. Earlier, both classes exams were scheduled to be held in June 2021.

The decision to cancel and postpone NIOS 10th and 12th board exam 2021 is made in view of the prevailing situation of COVID-19 pandemic. The NIOS is keeping a close watch on the situation and it will be reviewed by June 20, 2021. Students will be intimated regarding examinations through an official notification 15 days before the exam date.
The official NIOS tweets says, “Dear Learners, The Public Exam in Theory & Practical of Secondary courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby cancelled and the Public Exam in Theory & Practical of Senior Secondary & Vocational courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby postponed till further order.”

As per the NIOS notification, “The NIOS will devise suitable criteria for assessment and the result will be prepared in the best interest of the learner. Any learner who is not satisfied with the result will be allowed to appear in public examination or through On-demand examination as and when the situation becomes conducive to hold the examination.”
The National Institute of Open Schooling had already released NIOS on-demand results for Class 10 and 12 which were conducted from March 16 to 31, 2021.
CBSE has also cancelled the Class 10 examination and released new evaluation criteria . The result of Class 10 CBSE is expected to be out in the month of July.
