NIOS releases January 2026 on-demand exam results; rechecking process to begin from March 27

Download NowThe National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the results of the secondary and senior secondary On-Demand Examinations(ODE) conducted from January 16 to January 31, on March 25. Candidates can check the results at results.nios.ac.in.
Those who find any discrepancies in the published results can report to the respective regional centres within 30 days from the date of declaration.
As per the NIOS announcement, mark statements, certificates, and migration-cum-transfer certificates of certified learners are being dispatched to the respective NIOS regional centres for distribution.
A total of 2,373 learners were registered for the Secondary course, of whom 1,777 appeared and 982 were certified, resulting in a pass percentage of 55.26%. For the Senior Secondary course, 6,338 learners registered, 3,927 appeared, and 2,373 were certified, with an overall pass percentage of 60.43%.
Among Secondary course candidates, the pass percentage stood at 54.29% for female learners and 55.77% for male learners. In the Senior Secondary category, the certification rate was 60.43% for female learners and 60.44% for male learners, reflecting a marginal difference in outcomes across genders.

NIOS Results 2026: Rechecking from March 27
Students who are not satisfied with their NIOS On-Demand Examination (ODE) results can apply for rechecking or re-evaluation through the official portal. The application window opens from March 27, and will remain available for 15 days.
Candidates can opt for rechecking at a fee of Rs 400 per subject, while re-evaluation is available only for Class 12 students at Rs 1,200 per subject. An additional Rs 50 is charged as an online processing fee. Those applying for re-evaluation or rechecking can follow the below steps to apply;
