Dharmendra Pradhan to release NIRF Ranking 2022 on July 15

NIRF Ranking 2022: Institutes will be ranked for overall, university, engineering, management, pharmacy, college, medical, law, architecture, dental, and research.

NEW DELHI: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will release the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2022 on July 15. The education minister will release the India Rankings virtually from 11am onwards. The online release can be watched at the official website of MoE, NIRF - nirfindia.org.

“On 15th July 2022, Hon’ble Education Minister, Shri dpradhanbjp will release #IndiaRankings2022 under #NIRF, virtually. The annual exercise outlines a methodology to rank Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) across India in various categories & subject domains. Stay tuned!,” the Ministry of Education said in a tweet.

NIRF rankings are released annually by the Union Government to recognize top universities, colleges and other educational institutions across India. The categories under NIRF Rankings 2022 include Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, and others. The dental college ranking was introduced for the first time in the year 2020. Colleges and universities are awarded rankings on the basis of parameters set by NIRF.

Last year, the education minister released the NIRF rankings on September 9. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad ranked first in the management category in NIRF Rankings 2021. IIT Madras ranked first under the overall and engineering category while AIIMS Delhi bagged the top position under the medical category.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru ranked as the top university in the country and also bagged the first position in the newly added research category. Miranda House emerged as the best college. National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru was declared the top law school.

The parameters for India rankings 2022 include teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity and perception. The NIRF was launched by Dharmendra Pradhan on September 29, 2015.
