In the third place, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) held the spot for the last two years, however, Banaras Hindu University was the third best university three years ago. Though BHU went down to the fifth place in the latest NIRF rankings .
West Bengal’s Calcutta University, for once, secured a place in the rankings by emerging as the fourth best university three years earlier.
