NIT Warangal witnesses 80 percent student placement amid COVID-19

NEW DELHI - The world is at a slower pace these days due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic, however among the crisis, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has witnessed 700 student placements this year. As per the placement report, almost 80% of the undergraduate students have been placed in approximately 177 companies with the highest package being 43 lakh. The average package is also higher with 12+ lakh as compared to the previous year when the average package offer was almost 10 lakh.

No company has cancelled the placement offers and contrary to the present situation, are looking forward to the final round so that the students get into employment as soon as possible.

The top recruiters at NIT Warangal are:

  • Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)

  • Indian Telephone Industries (ITI)

  • Government of India Enterprises (GOI)

  • Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL)

  • Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)

More than 200 students have also received internship offers with an average stipend of 1,60,000 for students who are one step to go into final year.

There has been a sense of fear among people as there seems no end to the ongoing lockdown and the economy is having a tragic downfall. The current situation is set to affect those who are employed and those who are in the race to get employed.
