NITTT 2026 April-May semester exam from July 31; download admit card at nittt.nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) exam for April - May 2026 semester candidates. The testing agency will conduct the online remote proctored NITTT exam for teachers on July 31, August 1, 7 and 8.

The teacher training exam NITTT 2026 will be held in two shifts. The morning shift will be conducted from 10 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon shift will take place from 2 to 4 pm.

“The NITTT Exam aims to provide in-service training to Inductee Teachers in AIСТE-approved institutions, enhancing their professional skills for teaching roles,” as per the official notification.

The exam evaluates the teacher's performance through continuous assignments and a final (Internet Based)-Remote Proctored exam. Successful completion of all phases within three years is required for probation confirmation and promotion eligibility, it added.

NITTT 2026: Guidelines for online-remote proctored exam

Those who will be appearing for the NITTT 2026 exam for April -May semester can download their admit cards through the official website at nittt.nta.ac.in.

Candidates have to enter their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to access and download the NITTT 2026 admit card.

The NITTT 2026 question paper will be in English language only and the exam pattern includes objective-type questions comprising 100 multiple choice queries.

In addition, the NTA has also issued exam day guidelines for the remotely-proctored examination.

Candidates should have to keep their NITTT 2026 exam admit card, along with a valid ID proof during the exam because without producing the documents, candidates will not be allowed to become part of the exam. They are also allowed to keep a transparent water bottle during the test.

“Teachers will be under invigilation by Human Proctors during the exam, who will monitor their movements, including those on their screen. At any point of time during the exam, if the Proctor finds any suspicious eye movements or any suspicious activities in the exam environment, candidates can be asked by the Proctor through Chat, to turn the Laptop/Webcam to show his/her surroundings,” the rules read.

It also informed them that warning on chat shall appear on the candidate's console on suspicious behaviour. If the candidate does not follow the instructions even after repeated warnings, the test can be terminated, it added.

They are also required to keep a check on the chat window for any communication from the proctor. Candidates are not allowed to keep any sheets/papers for noting down anything or for doing any rough work, it added.
