NLU Delhi launches consumer law and practice online certificate course

NLU Delhi: The online certificate course will be held on October 11 and 12. Registration fee is Rs 2,000.
The National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) has launched the 5th edition of its online certificate course on Consumer Law and Practice. The programme will be held for two days on October 11 and 12. The registration fee for the certificate course is Rs 2,000.
As per the official NLU Delhi official statement, faculty member, research scholar, advocates, postgraduates and undergraduate students, consumer rights activists, NGOs, and voluntary consumer organisations (VCOs) can apply.
There is a limited number of seats available, so registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme is held under the aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. The certificate will be awarded by the chair of Consumer Law, NLU Delhi, to all the candidates upon successful completion.

- Salient features of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- Role of Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) Investigation, Inquiry, and Injunctive Actions.
- Role of mediation in the redressal mechanism by exploring an alternative to adjudication.
- Addressing the misleading practices in influencer marketing in advertisements.
- Consumer issues in e-commerce and the use of unfair trade practices, dark patterns, and fake reviews.
- Sectoral regulators and consumer protection: Role of CCI, anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, combinations and regulations, and enforcement of competition law.
- Consumer disputes redressal.
- Recent landmark decisions, key policy initiatives, advisories, and guidelines.
- Rising global trends and challenges, and best practices in the digital trade and e-commerce.
- Understanding the role of regulatory bodies like FSSAI, CCI, TRAI, SEBI, IRDAI, etc., in protecting consumer interests.
To apply for the course, candidates are advised to visit the official website of NLU Delhi at nludelhi.ac.in, complete the Google form, and pay the required registration fee.
