NEW DELHI: National Law University Delhi has decided to waive off the requirement of uploading the caste and category certificate at the time of submission of AILET application form. The decision is taken after considering the difficulty being faced by the candidates in obtaining the caste and category certificates from the competent authorities.
However, the candidates will be required to produce all the original certificates along with the self-attested copies at the time of admission, failing which the candidate will be placed in the unreserved category and will not be able to take the category benefits.
Those, who have already submitted their documents need not take any action. Moreover, candidates who have all the necessary caste or category documents can upload them using the entrance exam portal of the university.
The COVID-19 outbreak has so far affected the schedule of almost all law entrance exams conducted in India. NLU Delhi has also extended the last date to submit the application form till May 15. The entrance exam which was scheduled to be conducted on May 03, has been postponed till further notice.
