NMC reopens Eligibility Certificate application facility for MBBS aspirants; apply by Oct 7

NMC reopened the EC application window after the EMRB received requests from candidates, who missed the application deadline due to technical difficulties.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has re-opened the Eligibility Certificate (EC) application facility for candidates, who missed the deadline due to technical difficulties. They can now apply for the eligibility certificate through the official website at application.nmc.org.in.
The commission reopened the EC application window after the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) received requests from candidates, who were unable to submit their applications within the deadline due to technical issues.
The application window to apply for the EC will remain open until October 7 up to 6 pm.
“Keeping in view the career prospects of the applicants, it has been decided by the EMRB, NMC to give an additional opportunity to the candidates who were not able to submit their applications earlier for issuance of the Eligibility Certificate,” according to the official notice.

The NMC also stated that the incomplete applications in any form will not be processed and shall be summarily rejected and EMRB, NMC shall not be responsible in this regard.
“It is advised that the candidates may not wait for the last date to apply and should submit their applications as early as possible,” the notice read. The notification also stated that the issuance of an EC includes multiple checks to find eligibility in accordance with the provisions of the regulations in “vogue.”
“The candidates should fill the application form scrupulously in order to avoid unnecessary to and for movement of the application to resolve the deficiencies,” it added.
The EC is an eligibility certificate that the NMC needs to verify that an Indian student meets the basic academic and legal criteria to pursue MBBS abroad and practice medicine in India.
