NMIMS Bangalore holds 14th convocation ceremony; 191 students receive degrees

NMIMS Bangalore also reflected on the milestones achieved in 2022-23, which included 100 percent placements and 25% higher salaries

NEW DELHI: The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Bangalore hosted its 14th convocation ceremony today on April 21, 2023. 191 students belonging to the MBA course, post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) course and Post graduate diploma in Data science and analytics course received their degrees on the occasion.

Chancellor of the institute, Shailesh Patel, Vice-chancellor Ramesh Bhat and delegates from Mumbai, including Venkataraman SV led the convocation ceremony. On the occasion, officials of the institute reflected on the major milestones logged by the institute in the academic year 2022-23.

A statement from the institute said that 100 percent placements were witnessed in the institute in the academic year 2022-23, along with a 25 percent increase in salary packages. The average salary increased from 10 percent in 2021-22 to 19 percent in 2022-23.

The institute also saw students representing more than 20 states from all over the country and a gender ratio of 60:40. Adding to this are 74 live projects completed by MBA students during the academic year 2022-23. The students of the institute also attended a number of global events at school of management in Paris and Grenoble Ecole de management in France as a part of the International student exchange programme.

Managing director of ANZ bank, Venkataraman SV said: "India is increasingly claiming its rightful place in the world, across several sectors. The talent pool emerging out of world class institutions such as NMIMS is making this possible. In an era of job cuts, I am delighted to see a 25 percent hike in the average salaries and 100 percent placements. ANZ too is bullish about its India operations and growth".

Vice chancellor of the institute Ramesh Bhat, while congratulating all the graduating students, said: "As you embark on your journey, I extend my best wishes, hoping that each of you finds a feeling of contentment and pride in everything you do. I am sure your great efforts and achievements will help you achieve great things in life".
