NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh government told the Supreme Court that the Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) will hold the AP inter exams 2021 in offline mode. The state government has informed that the exams are likely to be conducted in the last week of July 2021, according to the NDTV report. The board will release the AP inter exam timetable 15 days in advance.

The board said in an affidavit, “There is no ‘reliable alternative’ to assess Inter or Class 12 students. Experts have been consulted and they are of the view that it will be feasible to hold the examinations,” the report added.

As the COVID-19 cases are declining, the state government is likely to hold the AP inter exams 2021 following all the safety guidelines.

“Entrance examinations, including the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET), give 25 per cent weightage to marks obtained in Class 12,” the report added.

The Supreme Court has said that the state will be responsible for any fatality caused due to its decision of holding these exams in such conditions.

On June 22, the Supreme Court had asked the state government to take its decision in two days and file an affidavit. A final decision on AP inter exams 2021 is expected today.
