NRTS 2024: Registration begins at bseodisha.ac.in; eligibility, fee, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has commenced the National Rural Talent Scholarship (NRTS) Examination. Head of the institutions will be able to fill up the NRTS 2024 registration form by visiting the official website, bseodisha.ac.in. There is no restriction on the number of students who can appear for the NRTS examination.

Selected students will receive Rs. 250 per month for 24 months, provided they continue their studies at the secondary level, that is Class 9 and 10, with satisfactory academic performance.

As per the official notice, the head of the institutions is the login authority for candidate registration. They will use their school code as their User ID and the previously used password to log in. New schools, however, can log in using their school code and the default password- school@123. The NRTS 2024 registration deadline is September 20. The NRTS 2024 exam fee is Rs 60 per candidate.

NRTS 2024: Eligibility

Students from any school recognized by the Government of Odisha or holding a No Objection Certificate from the Odisha Government, who have passed Class VIII and are currently in Class IX, are eligible to appear for the NRTS 2024 exam. However, students from schools that do not follow theBSE, Odisha syllabus are not eligible for this NRTS scholarship.

NRTS 2024: Exam pattern

Eligible students will be selected for the NRTS scholarship through a written examination conducted by the BSE, Odisha. The NRTS test will cover subjects such as MIL , Mathematics, General Science, and Social Science, with questions drawn from the Class VIII syllabus. It will be a single paper comprising four sections, one for each subject. Each section will carry 25 marks, making the total score 100 marks.

The exam will feature multiple-choice questions, and students will record their answers on an OMR sheet by shading the correct option from four choices. Additionally, the login authority is responsible for accurately selecting the correct MIL subject during the online registration process. The student’s answer will be evaluated based on the scoring key for the MIL subject selected.
