NTA ensures jammers for NEET 2019 to prevent cheating and malpractices

Try NowNew Delhi, May 5: National Testing Agency has installed around 38,000 jammers around the exam centres in 154 cities across the country. These mobile jammers are in place to deter cheating at the exam centres for NEET 2019 which is the largest undergraduate entrance exam with more than 15 lakh students vying for 66,771 plus MBBS seats as 27,148 plus BDS seats. Check the details below.
Every year, with more than 15 lakh candidates appearing for the undergraduate medical entrance exam namely NEET, the authorities find it a hard task to prevent malpractices and cheating. Measures to combat these evils include a strict dress code that allows no jewellery, long sleeved clothes, shoes, watches, caps and a host of such things in addition to biometric verifications and more. Carrying the security measures to a stricter level in NEET 2019 is the usage of mobile jammers that will ensure that digital malpractices are ruled out.
C andidates have to carry the following to the exam hall:
- NEET 2019 admit card downloaded from the NTA website (a clear preferably colour printout on A4 size paper) with a passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) affixed on the place provided.
- One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the exam centre.
- A valid photo ID proof in original (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card). School/College ID Cards issued are not allowed. Aadhaar enrollment receipt without Aadhaar number and photocopies or images Stored in mobile phones etc are also not allowed
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, for candidates with Physical Disability
In the NEET 2019 exam hall:
- Candidates must enter required details in the test booklet, attendance sheet and NEET OMR answer sheet.
- They should place their signature and left hand thumb impression twice and paste the photograph at the appropriate place in the attendance sheet of NEET 2019.
- They also need to place their signature (in legible running hand) and left hand thumb impression on side-2 of the OMR Answer Sheet.
