NTA extends AIAPGET 2026 internship cut-off date to October 31 for AYUSH PG admissions; apply by July 30

AIAPGET 2026: The revised internship cut-off date applies to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and homoeopathy candidates.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the compulsory rotatory internship completion cut-off date for candidates appearing in the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026. As per the revised date, the internship completion deadline has been extended from August 31 to October 31, 2026, for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate AYUSH courses in the 2026-27 academic session.
The revised deadline only applies to candidates of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy. The decision was taken after the NTA received a large number of representations from aspirants requesting an extension of the internship completion date.
NTA said in an official notification, "The internship completion cut-off date for determining eligibility to appear in AIAPGET-2026 has been revised from 31 August 2026 to 31 October 2026 for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy.”
The testing agency said the revision has been made following communications received from the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH).
However, the NTA clarified that all other provisions, eligibility criteria, examination schedule and instructions mentioned in the AIAPGET 2026 information bulletin and the public notice issued on July 10 will remain unchanged.
AIAPGET 2026 registration dates
The AIAPGET 2026 online registration process was commenced on July 10, and the registration window is currently open. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can submit the AIAPGET application form 2026 till July 30, 9 pm.
The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to postgraduate AYUSH courses, including MD, MS and PG Diploma programmes in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy, for the academic session 2026-27.
