NTA issues notice regarding revised eligibility for JEE Main Paper 2

New Delhi, September 26: National Test Agency (NTA), the conducting authority of JEE Main 2019 has released the notice regarding the revised eligibility criteria for JEE Main Paper-2. According to the notification issued by the authorities, candidates seeking admission into the first year of 5 year B.Arch course will have to meet the eligibility conditions decided by the authorities. The revised eligibility criteria state that candidates are required to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate. Also, the diploma holder candidates are not eligible for admissions into B.Arch courses through JEE Main who were earlier allowed.
N TA will conduct JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2 twice in 2019. In January, the exam will be conducted from January 6 to 20 and in April from April 6 to 20. JEE Main paper-2 is conducted to invite admissions into undergraduate courses of B.Arch and B.Planning into various NITs and GFTIs. The 3 hour long paper will have three sections of Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing. Candidates will be required to attempt the first two sections in CBT mode while an offline(pen and paper based) test will be held for the drawing section. Only those candidates who will fulfil the revised eligibility conditions notified by the authorities will be eligible for admissions into B.Arch course for the session 2019-20.
To prepare for JEE Main paper-2 authorities have released the online mock tests for Maths and Aptitude, however, the mock test is not available for the Drawing section. Candidates can either download the online mock test or register for the Practice Centres (TPCs). NTA has set up 2697 Test Practice Centres (TPCs) across the country where students can go and attempt the mock test. The result of JEE Main paper-2 will be released on April 30, 2019.
