New Delhi, December 2 - National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 (NEET) candidate login window. The registrations for NEET 2020 will begin from December 2 to December 31, 2019 (from 4:00 PM). NTA will conduct the entrance examination on May 3, 2020 for admission to 76,928 MBBS and 26,949 BDS seats offered by 532 medical and 313 dental colleges across India. Admissions to 52,720 seats offered in AYUSH colleges, 1,207 in AIIMS institutes and 200 in JIPMER colleges will also be through NEET 2020.

NTA released the information brochure of NEET 2020 on December 1, 2019. The brochure reflects certain significant changes that will be a part of the medical entrance examination henceforth. Some of these changes are hike in fees, Aadhar card verification, increase in exam centres. Details of the same have been mentioned in the points below.

NEET login window credential 2020 - How to create?

In order to get access of NEET candidate login 2020 medical aspirants have to register themselves first by following the given steps:

  • Candidates have to first visit the official website (ntaneet.nic.in)

  • Under the ‘Current events’ section the candidate login will be mentioned. Aspirants are required to click on it

  • Read all the instructions provided on the screen and click on the ‘Proceed’ button to register and create credentials for candidate login of NEET

  • The screen that opens will display columns to be filled with required details. Email ID and mobile number should be valid as all necessary information will be communicated on these contact details only

  • On completing the step above aspirants will be asked to create a password. After creating password they will have to answer a security question

  • Once the above steps are completed a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent on the candidate’s registered mail ID and mobile number which has to be entered for verification. Then click on 'Submit'

  • Last step to create login credentials is to click on the ‘Submit’ button after which the screen will display provisional registration number. This number will also be sent on their mail ID and mobile number and the provisional registration number will be displayed

Note - Candidates must preserve their provisional registration number and password created at the time of registration as they will need this at various steps of the entire examination process. The registration number and password will serve as the credentials for NEET login window 2020.

Significant changes reflected in NEET 2020 information brochure

  • AIIMS and JIPMER merger: The information brochure gives all the details pertaining to the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER under NEET ambit

  • Increase in exam centres: NEET 2020 will be conducted in 155 cities across the nation with Leh (code 4701) as the new test city.

  • Entering Aadhaar card details: NTA has introduced the process of Aadhaar verification as a step to reduce impersonation cases. They have requested approval for the same from the Ministry of Information and Technology and will inform the candidates regarding the same in due course.

  • Hike in NEET registration fees: The application fees have been increased for the academic session 2020-2021. Fees for general category is Rs. 1500, while for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender aspirants, it is Rs. 800 and for OBC-NCL/general-EWS, it is Rs. 1400. ]

  • Change in payment mode 2020: The authority has also introduced a new mode for payment of NEET application fees which is through Unified Payment Interface (UPI) using State Bank of India/Syndicate Bank/ICICI Bank/HDFC Bank/Paytm service provider.

  • Documents to be uploaded: Aspirants earlier had to upload passport size photograph and signature, however, from NEET 2020 uploading left hand thumb impression, class 10 passing certificate and post card photograph is also mandatory
