NTA might enforce strict security measures for JEE Main 2019

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 20: NTA has recently conducted UGC NET 2018 with certain security measures like installation of CCTV cameras, placements of state coordinators and jammers. As the national level engineering entrance exam, JEE Main 2019 approaches which is scheduled to be conducted from January 8 to 12 by NTA, it could be expected that the similar security measures might be implemented for the exam.

Security Measures Taken by NTA for UGC NET

• 24 State Coordinators, 295 City Coordinators, and 742 Observers were positioned.
• A third-party audit of all examination centres was completed before the exam day.
• The exam centres were monitored by CCTV to curb malpractices in the examinations.
• A total of about 40,000 jammers were placed to stop cheating using mobile networks.

Since the exam conducting body for both the exams is NTA and almost the same number of students will be appearing for JEE Main 2019, it could be expected that the authorities will implement almost similar kind of security measures for the exam. Thus, candidates appearing for JEE Main are advised to be prepared for any such kind of security measure.

Do’s and Don'ts- If security measures are implemented

• Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time
• Don’t panic and be calm and concentrate on your exam
• Adhere to the instructions mentioned on the admit card.
• Do not wear any kind of jewellery pieces like rings, bracelets, etc to avoid any unfavorable conditions during security check.
• Cooperate with the security people present at the exam centre.
• Don’t carry any unnecessary item along with you to the exam centre which can lead you in trouble.
