NTA releases CMAT Answer Key 2019 on February 1; Download Response Sheet, Question Paper and file objections till February 3

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 1: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CMAT 2019 Answer Key on February 1, 2019. Candidates who appeared for the exam on January 28 and 29, 2019, can download the CMAT answer key at ntacmat.nic.in. Additionally, they can also view the answers they had entered using the CMAT response sheet along with the question paper on the NTA website. With the help of CMAT answer key and response sheet, candidates can cross-verify the answers marked by them and also estimate their scores. The facility to view these is available till February 3, 2019, hence candidates must save and take prints of the same. NTA also allows the test takers to file objections if they find any discrepancy in the answer key.

Downloading CMAT 2019 Answer Key is a simple process. NTA provides two modes to access the answer key, and candidates can login using either of them -

  • Via application number & password

  • Or CMAT Application & DOB.

How to download CMAT Answer Key 2019

To download CMAT answer key, follow the steps given below-

1. Visit the official website (ntacmat.ac.in)

2. Click on the direct link available on the home page which says “Challenge answer key” to check CMAT 2019 Answer Key. (You may also use the link shared above)

3. Select one mode - application number with DOB or password and access the dashboard.

4. The CMAT answer key will be displayed. It is not downloadable but can be printed. Candidates can then cross-verify their answers.

How to file objections for CMAT Answer Key 2019

Candidates who wish to file objections to the answer key must follow the steps given below-

  • Login the CMAT 2019 account by using the same link as above, i.e. ‘Challenge answer key’.

  • Click on the “challenge/s regarding Answer Key” Tab.

  • Now, against each question ID, you can claim the answer which is correct, according to you.

  • Ensure that you mark only one correct option ID. Also, verify the codes form the response sheet before challenging an answer.

  • It is mandatory to upload valid proof to claim the authenticity of the doubt.

  • Finally, pay the objection fee of Rs.1000 and click “Submit”.

The payment of the fee may be made only through Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking. The fee

will be refunded if the challenge is found correct. The challenge will not be considered in case of non-receipt of the fee. This facility can only be availed from February 1 to February 3, 2019 (till 11 AM).


How to check CMAT 2019 Response Sheet and Question Paper

To access CMAT Response Sheet, candidates need to follow the steps below-

  • Access the tab “View Question Paper and Response” on the NTA CMAT website (ntacmat.ac.in)

  • Next, enter the login credentials and the response sheet will be displayed.

  • Either take a print or check the marked answers along with the question paper there itself.


The Response sheet for CMAT comprises the following details -

  • Application Number

  • Name of the candidate

  • Roll Number, Question Type

  • Question ID

  • Options ID

  • Status of the response (Answered/ Not Answered)

  • Chosen Option by the candidate, etc.

It is advisable that candidates take a print out of the CMAT 2019 Question Paper and Response Sheet as it is available only for three days.

It is also possible to estimate the CMAT 2019 score prior to the release of the result/scorecard. Upon matching the responses with the answer key, test takers can calculate the marks secured by them in each of the four sections. As per the marking scheme of CMAT 2019, for each correct answer, four (4) marks would be awarded and for each wrong answer, one (1) mark will be deducted. The total number of questions was 100 and the total marks obtainable is 400 in CMAT exam 2019.

The result of CMAT 2019 will be announced on February 8, 2019. The CMAT result will be available to test takers via online mode only. The CMAT 2019 result or scorecard download link will be sent to the registered email address by the officials. It will be on the basis of the merit list that the candidates will be shortlisted and called in for further admission process.

The CMAT Examination was conducted in 84 Cities in 25 States/UTs on January 28, 2019, in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. As many as 64,582 candidates had registered for the exam, as per official sources. Besides, the examination was conducted in respect of 191 candidates of Kashmir Region on January 29 at the three centres of Srinagar on the request of the Local Administration on account of inclement weather.
